Thinking of three characters, and I stumbled upon a few questions that I couldn't find answers too, sorry if I missed something!
Regarding names 1. Would a character whose name contains a patronymic/matronymic also forget the name of the parent in question? Or would they forget that patronymics/matronymics are a thing?
2. In Alice's world, Namesakes are people who due to their name are connected to a specific story and the world in which it takes place, and because of this have their lives drastically altered also by receiving powers. Once a namesake dies, a new one is born, and the stories are circulated - so the first Alice Namesake was Alice Liddell, and Alice in Wonderland/etc and its adaptions are known in canon. Alice Liddell was also and important figure in Namesake society's history. I... am a bit stumped on how to deal with that. Would every Namesake!Alice's name be gone and all adaptions of the story miss the heroine's name in Alice's memory? And what would happen with other canons' people's knowledge of Carroll's books?
3. Debt question - I know that it isn't possible to pay off another person's debt, but this is a bit of a special case - so. Fëanor created a dumb oath (came up with the wording and took it first) which was after also taken by his sons. Now, oaths in this world have a very real, binding power, they are more than just words, and this one was sworn by the name of someone who is incapable of absolving those who took it from it - basically the distant, removed God of the universe. Later, another powerful character who cursed all who travelled with my character tacked a few conditions on the oath that made it even more powerful and terrible. Now, as the original creator of the oath was Fëanor, would it be possible for him to get the oath itself voided by the Witch, so that the other people who took it would automatically be freed from it without falling prey to the "you can't work towards another's debt"?
