If a wish is two-fold (such as the character working to make x and y happen, two events/situations that are related to each other), can a character have one fulfilled first before working to have the other paid off? Or should they clear the entire debt before having both fulfilled?

Also, out of curiosity: if a character's wish is to have something that threatens their life removed, could it be fulfilled first and then they'll work it off?
