When I canon update a character and they go through experiences in canon that changes their mentality/point of view, would it be okay to go ahead and change the reason of why they're indebted and working for the Witch?

Second question! One of Judai's cards has a spirit that actually interacts with him in canon, (not many people can actually see Winged Kuriboh unless they have a card spirit of their own, etc). So along the line when Judai works his way up to earn back his belongings, will Winged Kuriboh still be able to manifest and interact with him in-game? Also will other people be able to see it?
