I'm a mean healer on Ventus in the Mirage Arena. All my friends liked to use the massive damage AoEs but I prefer having more recovery on my hands.

i'm pretty good with terra and aqua in the arena but for some reason ven's style is always harder for me to manage. mostly, i think, because i have a tendency to rush right in and not really worry about healing until i'm near-death and cursing unversed.
who am i kidding this is every game i play.

Faith and Salvation were my favorites - aside Time Splicer. Because that one just looks cool. Terra's my weakest point, since he goes against my player type. Speed is always the first on my Want list.
Nothing wrong with leaping into the fray.

i think terra was my strongest suit just because he's a hard, heavy-hitter. of course, aqua can be too once she gets up to a certain point, and even though i can now get through proud mode with her with no difficulties, it still takes some maneuvering on my part to get used to magic-based attacks.

I went through Proud Mode to unlock the ending and whatnot without all the side-grinding type of stuff. Did not want to work harder for that when I could just ram through stronger enemies. But dear lord Aqua on the first world was brutal.
no subject
i side-grind a lot, though. it's a problem i have in every single rpg i play.

I'll do all the things if I like a game enough/they're doable with some effort. But just to get the story content, I'm not keen on.

this is why i haven't finished dark souls. if you make something too freaking ridiculously difficult right from the beginning, i'm not going to enjoy it. it's just stupid.

I tend to put down tough games and come back for revenge, but I feel similarly about trophies. If the throwaway/should be easy trophies take forever and a day to get, I consider that unreasonable. Got to be a balance of challenges rather than things designed only to sink time into. I don't mind that for some, but geez.

ahh, you and i think the same. usually, when i'm playing a game for the first time, if there's a trophy or achievement that i can't get easily, i'll come back later for it or just abandon it altogether. i can either be extremely lazy or entirely too committed when it comes to that sort of thing, so it's pretty much a toss-up depending on how i'm feeling on any given day.
also! this may be random but do you have a plurk? i'd like to add you because i feel like we could be friends - or at least have some interesting gaming conversations. ^^

My first platinum was XIII-2. I'm painfully close on XIII, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Graces, and Drakengard 3. If I focused on it I could sweep the ones in NieR. But it's definitely a matter of feeling motivated. I suspect in XIII the one for having one of every item ever at some point in the save file will forever elude me - no way to verify what you're missing.
Not random at all! I actually don't have a Plurk, but I do have AIM if you happen to use that. I know not everybody does. It's always nice to chat about video games though, seriously.

Imagine one day if that happens during something really serious.

except he killed me in like three seconds, and it only took that long because i am like the master of cartwheeling out of the way. ;;
man, i don't think i have any platinum trophies, but i do have a few impressive achievements on my 360. ( i go back and forth between the two, more than i'm willing to admit. mostly because i started playing mass effect before the trilogy was released on both consoles as a complete series. ) xiii-2 still irks me because i need one more achievement to get my gamerscore back to a multiple of five instead of an odd number ending in 2 or 7, and the fact that it's been at such an odd number for like two years is making my ocd side twitch like you wouldn't believe. ( i do love the series, though, i'm glad to know that i'm not the only one that does! )
i do have aim! i'm voscillates, if you'd like to go ahead and add me. i'm being a ninja at the moment so i won't show up as online but i promise i'm there! it's always really nice to talk about video games when you find a common interest, and i unfortunately have a limited number of people that play the same things as i do.
also that icon. is absolutely precious. ahh, but i do love icon misfires~

Do you mean you need another trophy in XIII-2? I've done them all if you're wondering about any of them in particular. I'm rather fussy with details, though with trophies I mostly get excited when I get close to hitting another "level" based on trophy count and whatnot. Never had a 360, and I wither a little at the idea of trying to save up for one of the newest consoles, but how do PS3 and 360 compare for you?
Ah that's right, I remembered reading that. Gosh my assignments are turning my brain to goo. I've got you added, and mine is lancefaire. And I know the feeling; I have a little overlap with most of my friends, but not always.
FE blushes are the cutest blushes. But seriously it'll be the most inappropriate moment for blushing Robin. Ever. I can see it now.

before i got my 360 i played everything in the ps3, and to be perfectly honest there isn't much in the way of difference between them. it's all a matter of whether you want to pay for xbox live or the psn with the ps4. ( since it's still free with the ps3, and i'm thankful for that. ) as far as everything else goes? games play the same, content display is the same, it's really all a matter of which company you support, microsoft or sony.
which, honestly, is all a matter of perspective. i could go either way.
i really do need to get into the fire emblem fandom. i've been hearing about the games for years and still haven't managed to play them for myself. but inappropriate blushing? it needs to happen.
